What does make a good marker? (SOLVED)

What are the requirements for a good marker? How can recognition and tracking rating of a marker be improved?

Hi,
a "good" marker is defined by some characteristics, like: being asymmetric, rich in texture or details, high in contrast.
To give an example, a photograph is usually a good marker (photographs of the sky/clouds being an exception).
Text is usually a bad marker, if not surrounded by graphical content.

To improve the quality of a marker you should add distinctive visual features to it, to make it more "unique".
