Recognition of intergrated or decorated markers? (SOLVED)
Hi,
does the recongnition rely on a printed marker exactly as defined can the marker be intergrated into or decorated by other elements?
If I define a marker in the shape of an empty grid (e.g. 3x3) but the printed grid is not empty, do you expect the recognition to work?
If I define a define a marker in the shape of an empty grid cell but the printed picture is a whole grid, do you expect the recognition to work?

Hi, the marker recognition algorithm does not require a marker to be exactly as defined. What I mean is that you can add some graphic elements around the marker, or even within the marker frame (to some extent).
Moreover, a marker works even if some part of the marker ar missing (e.g. partial occlusion).
The best thing is to try it yourself on your markers, because exceeding on the amount of alterations can potentially harm the final user experience.
